Lol, not really. My mom used to buy ice cream every month for about 5-9 years, and since the economy has gotten so bad, we've had to make cutbacks with things like ice cream. Surprisingly, I don't crave it as much as I thought I would.Do you scream for ice cream?

What snacks are okay to eat to satisfy that sweet tooth that screams candy or ice cream?

I am 25 5';1 I am like 90 pounds over wieght I am 220 right now I believe the ideal wieght for myself would be around 125-130 I have an exercise program layed out for myself now all i need to do is eat healthier I want to become that woman that my husband first met again I have 3 children I gave birth to my daughter and i am a step mommy to my 2 oldest kido's I want to my kids are 3, 8, and 9 and I want to have that energy again to run around without feeling like im going to hurl or run outta breathe I need to know about the snacks i am able to eat such as nuts and are dried cranberries okay to eat ?? Im always snacking with my kids and I was always curoius about that I understand the protien meals you know chicken and stuff and fish and meaty foods but what about the snacks or what to do for that late night crave ? grind up some ice in the blender and get it to a slushy consistency. add low fat yogurt, MAYBE low fat icecream, a fruit of your choice..

I think fruits and veggies are the way to go...

It's very important to eat a good, healthy breakfast to start your day. Skipping breakfast hurts your chances of losing weight.

Avoid too many fats and simple carbs (things containing sugar or corn syrup).

Exercise, even moderate to begin with, is a good idea.

Try not eating at all (or rarely) after dinner.

Also, sometimes you may think you are hungry and it might be thirst. Try drinking some water, fruit juice, or tea before grabbing a snack.

If you like grapes, freeze them.

They make GREAT snacks and since they are frozen they take longer to eat.

I was where you are! I am 5'4'; and WAS 275! I am now a very comfortable 145. I feel GREAT! I did it by simply making 90% of what went in my mouth natural. Fruits, veggies and whole grains. (I love Kashi EVERYTHING!) Stay away from juices, and go light on dried fruits, but if its something that's not processed it's good.
You need to eat things that are high in protein and fiber.to fill you up more. so like you said almonds and dried cranberry's are soo good if you mix them together. But remember not to eat more that a handful of nuts a day. Yes eat fruit! I give up sweets for lent every year so i usually go though a lot alot of fruit ( like grapes c:) then. Also, what i do when i want soda , i mix seltzer water and a yummy 100% fruit juice. If you crave chocolate at night eat some special K chocolaty delight. or have like chex with silk chocolate soy milk. If you want ice cream, opt for like frozen yogurt. There are kinds with no sugar and no fat. or low fat and low sugar kinds. What i have learned is that the true way to loose fat it to cut the calories. Because you need carbs. and there are good kinds of fats (thats why nuts and oats are so good for you!) so really just remember to keep the cal. count low.

Fresh fruits and veggies and dried fruits, nuts, plain popcorn, etc. All make good snacks as long as you keep it within reasonable amounts. Remember, those all have calories as well so they have to be part of your daily plan/calorie count. Yahoo just recently had a very nice article on the front page about dieting and weight loss. It was about a study that was done showing that ';fad'; diets like no or low carb and no or very low fat were not effective in the long run. What really matters is calories in vs. calories used. I can also tell you from experience that if you are really craving something, you should just eat it. Otherwise you will snack and nibble on other things and you'll still be craving the ';bad'; thing. Eventually you will probably break down and eat that, too.

I used to be heavy when I worked in the computer industry. Now I am in my dream job - I'm a chef. I eat a lot more, but I'm at my ';perfect'; weight. How can this be? Well, easy in theory, but difficult in practice. I had to change my relationship with food. I am a major chocoholic and I tried to get off chocolate when I was trying to lose weight. I finally learned through research and online support groups that was a bad idea. I bought individually wrapped chocolates (I'm especially fond of the Ghiradelli's Intense Dark line of chocolates) and would take out exactly one serving per day. The rest of the bag was put somewhere I would have to scale a cabinet to get to. I figured those into my daily calories. Eventually I got to the point where just one little square, broken in pieces and slowly savored, would take care of the craving. I increased my exercise. Now I jog every morning and sometimes again at night. The weight just flew off of me and I didn't feel deprived at all.

Try to find an active group or team to join after you've taken a peek and lurked a bit. They weren't around when I had a weight problem, but I go there once in a while when I'm having problems staying motivated about my exercise regimen. The simple truth - I ~love~ to eat. I refuse to change my eating habits. So I *must* exercise or I'll get fat again. That's something I also refuse to do.

If you're serious about losing weight, join more than one. Keep a food diary. Blog about everything, especially if you're an emotional eater or a binger. (I'm both! LOL!) It really does help keep you on track!

Yes when I was 10 shortly after I had my tonsils removed. OK maybe it was a loud croak! The hospital where I had this done offered ice cream to help sooth the pain. Couldn鈥檛 talk so I had to do something to attract attention. I was not a happy kid.

My son is 5 months old and hasn't had a rash... I always use vaseline.. after he does a doodoo I clean him up and put vaseline... after a bath.. vaseline... he has yet to get a rash.. Maybe you can try that after the rash clears up on your little angel.Has anyone ever had a problem with their baby screaming as if in pain when using Desitin diaper cream?
If the baby does not have a rash then there may be a chemical reaction or allergy at work.

If the baby has a rash then it might be too irritating on the rash. Sort of like rubbing salt into a wound.

The rash might be too far advanced for a simple home treatment. I would take the baby to the doctor before proceeding.

Besides, creams and ointments like Desitin are used to protect against a rash. It should be used as a protective barrier -- applied to healthy, CLEAN and DRY skin.

A clean bare bottom in the fresh air and sunshine don't hurt either.Has anyone ever had a problem with their baby screaming as if in pain when using Desitin diaper cream?
Mine screams in pain for any cream! I think it's just a general ';Don't touch boo-boos they hurt'; rule and he hates it when I touch them no matter how gentle I am. Desitin is one of the best - but I also use aquafor - it acts a bit more like chapstick and goes on easiest.

I am sneaky now about putting on rash cream, not letting the little one see the bottle by hiding it behind the wipes box.
I have never had that kind of problem with my son when I put Desitin diaper cream on him. I always had problems with the A %26amp; D ointment.

I don't think that the Desitin is what making your baby scream. It is probably the diaper rash irritating the baby's bottom so bad that each time someone touches it, it hurts.
yep we sure did...my husband and I realized after a couple of times using it that she was in pain...we immediately stopped using it and started using a produce called Method diaper cream...we get it at target and it's about $8 for a 6 oz pump. It's made from rice milk and marshmallows and is 97% all natural...we haven't had any problems since we started using it.
yes! the only thing that doesn't hurt my daughter is called butt paste. it works really well

EDIT- look at the ingredients in the creams. most of them have fragrance and other things that cause it to burn. dont keep using it if it burns. i have also used lanolin cream, the stuff that goes on your nipples if you breastfeed and that seemed to work well also
yes, and for just about every kind of diaper cream. if the rash is bad it is gonna hurt no matter what. my son would cry really bad for a minute or two and then once it started to work he would calm down. it's normal for it to burn at first. if it looks like its not a normal diaper rash i would call the doctor.
if the rash is really bad its probably just tender to touch...

that happened once with my son...the cream helped him in the long run though..

if the rash doesn't seem to be bad but he seems to be reacting to the cream i would stop using it and call his pediatrician about it.
I agree with the first poster. My daughter doesn't like it if its cold, especially if she just got out of the tub. Try something else -- a completely different product, but equally cold, like vaseline and see if she reacts the same way. That will at least tell you something...

Nights when it starts getting dark earlier, when it drops below 45 degrees and the wind is blowing, when it's raining and freezing outside, when it's snowing like crazy. Not all together, just pick any one of them. I love grilled cheese ( multi cheese or not) and cream of tomato soup ( with or without basil)What kind of night screams out for a multi-Cheese grilled sandwich and Cream of Tomato Basil Soup?
I eat this alot on Monday nights after a long day when I want quick and easy comfort food. I even put bacon in my grilled cheese, by I love the smoky flavor. Nothin like catching up on your DVR'ed shows and having a cozy dinner in front of the TV!

Simply put a LAZY one.. since I am going to open a can of Campbell's %26amp; simmer with basil %26amp; use the the foreman to grill my sandwich with a slice of Ham on it ( my man has to have his Meat)

I don't know about beer but I once made some blackberry wine ice cream and it was delicious and the bunch of us got drunk.

If I perfect beer-flavored ice-cream and call it ';Beer-Scream'; would it sell?
I wouldn't buy it. I buy beer to get drunk, not for the flavor. If everyone loved the taste then non alcoholic beer would be more popular than cola. Seeing as that isn't true I think you will find it won't sell as well as you think. In fact the biggest market for ice cream (children) would be repulsed by it and the only ones who would like it would give up due to the fact they wouldn't get a buzz from it. If you made it 5per cent and it got you wrecked after eating ten then they would do well. Otherwise I think you are looking at a week long fad where we all try them and then decide they are gross. I can always put ice cream in my beer and make a floater with it if I'm inclined to mix the taste.
There are ice cream flavors I could get behind, like mead, for instance, but I like my beer fluid enough to guzzle, and Ice cream just doesn't fill the bill. But, hey! How about Seagram's Seven? Or Jim Beam? Isn't that the version TGIF has for their varied steaks? Now, that's a concept, and without the hops.
Will there also be ';light'; and ';low cal';. Also can you get a buzz from it. these are important marketing things I need t know.
Once, I tried to make bacon-flavoured ice cream. It came out like crap. I suspect beer-flavour would run the same way.

Be consistant... that's the only way. If she continues to throw a fit after you tell her no, then don't give it to her after dinner either. She probably listens to Dad because he means business. She is old enough to understand that No means NO!

Well, this is not an easy question to answer. Not all children will like the same flavor.

Ask your child(ren) what kinds of flavors they like (chocolate, vanilla, etc.) and look at the choices the ice cream man gives you. If they closely match what your child(ren) told you, see if your child will like it. That's the best advice I can offer.
Good name!! Anyway, it's different for every kid. But I do know that if your ice cream business has some kind of theme, like Spongebob, it will be more popular amongst children. I personally like hot fudge, strawberry, and chocolate. Maybe you should make some ice cream with cookie dough, Oreo cookies, or brownies in it. Yum!!

What a great question- and one I have not thought of really! There is this great ice scream store in Lockport, IL. They have a specialty there called Apple Pie- IT IS FABULOUS! I'm really into cookie dough all of a sudden but I'll eat coffee ice cream I like ice cream with a lot of stuff in it like the chunks of brownies or the cookie dough or chocolate chips for at home but if I ever go out and get ice cream, I'll get normal chocolate or vanilla with sprinkles on it. I tried cake batter from cold stone my friend had it at her 19th birthday and I thought it was pretty good but strange it's not something I would eat all of the time though.
So this might be a variation.. but I love Tiramisu gelato.

But to be more on topic, my favourite flavour of ice cream would be smarties ice cream, or dark chocolate ice cream.

I basically like all ice cream.. especially haagen dazs.

I also heard garlic ice cream is very good.
It was Godiva dark chocolate raspberry ripple, but they don't make it anymore :(

Next favourite is peanut butter and chocolate, preferably peanut butter ice cream with chocolate ripple

Any chocolate ice cream with brownie chunks rates pretty high, too.
